“Dearest Kindred,

For many years the land we call home was but a wasteland. With no
foundation the domain was held by savagery, a desolate barren, with
no sight of opportunity.

In the year of our lord 1875 a beacon of civilization came to this
desolate area. In it he saw merit, and soon with the help of his
knights, he was able to rid the area of the monsters that inhabited
it and create a foundation for a long lasting right minded domain.
This beacon went by the name of Lord Vector Drakkon.

And so the celebration of Founder’s Night came to be. From that day
hence, the domain would gather at the Elysium on the second Saturday
of August, to celebrate their success.

It is on this day, August 12, in the year of our lord 2006, that the
Prince of Modesto, Sir Roland James Hawthorne III, welcomes his
citizens and citizens from other domains to his summer court.”

Though this comes as a good sign, Modesto has surely had it’s
downfalls. The local kine’s behavior becoming more and more
suspicious, as does the behavior of their sisters to the north,
Stockton. With Lady Asenith’s absence from this event in her
father’s honor, can one truly believe that she follows the will of
her sire?

The prosperity of kindred lies in many years of tempered investment. But what occurs when it is all lost to ones lord? Perhaps the answer can be found in Richard Cortland.

Now exiled from his home of Stockton Cortland’s financial state is in ruin therefore he must turn to more savvy means.

Out of response Richard Cordland has decided to hold an art show to raise capital so that he may continue to flourish with other potential interests. Many of the pieces are said to have unusual origins, and even some are rumored to come from a Daughter or the Drakkon Lord. Some of those pieces have even been purchased already by his former liege.

However, in the spirit of capitalism and commerce, the spoils go to the one with the most risk at the end of the night.
